About

Hello! I'm a writer, communications expert, and co-author of MIXED UP: Confessions of an Interracial Couple published by Headline in April, 2021 and Audible October, 2020.
You can find me writing on race and relationships in outlets such as The Guardian, The Independent, Huffington Post, The I paper, Elle, Grazia and many more.
Prior to writing MIXED UP, my journey of discussing race and relationships started in 2017, when my husband, Alex and I founded Huetribe, a UK greetings card company aimed at promoting diverse representation on cards. Huetribe cards were carried and stocked in high street stores such as WHSmith, Scribbler and Tesco. While Huetribe cards are no longer for sale, they are currently on display and held at the Postal Museum in London, England. We are proud to have contributed to a small piece of British history.
I previously served as a Council member for the UK Greeting Card Association and as part of their diversity subcommittee.
I am also a guest contributor on topics about race and interracial relationships to media outlets such as BBC Radio 4.
I use my writing and communication skills for good by working for the United Nations. In another life, I worked in PR and content management for top communication agencies and as a journalist with a focus on technology.
